The Sensex closed with a gain of 67 points at 7,287.SBI moved up over 2% (Rs 17) to Rs 721. Reliance was up over a per cent (Rs 7) at Rs 645. Infosys was up Rs 18 at Rs 2,347.NTPC zoomed nearly 4% (Rs 3) to Rs 89. Tata Power gained 2.7% (Rs 10) to Rs 399. Reliance Energy was up 1.4% (Rs 9) at Rs 648.BHEL gained over 3% (Rs 28) to Rs 892. Hindalco was up 2.5% (Rs 31) at Rs 1,258. L&T moved up 1.9% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,204. HDFC moved up 3% (Rs 29) to Rs 931. HDFC Bank was up over 2% (Rs 13) at Rs 646. ACC gained over a per cent (Rs 6) at Rs 392. Gujarat Ambuja and Grasim also closed in positive zones.
