The Sensex is moving in an extremely narrow band of 20-odd points (10,860 to 10,880). The index is now up 68 points at 10,870.Tata Motors has gained 2.4% at Rs 915. HDFC has moved up 2.3% to Rs 1,350.Reliance has rallied 2% to Rs 757. Tata Power, Tata Steel and Satyam are also up 2% each at Rs 574, Rs 467 and Rs 820, respectively.While TCS and HDFC Bank have advanced 1.6% each to Rs 1,832 and Rs 769, respectively, SBI and Gujarat Ambuja are up 1.3% each at Rs 967 and Rs 99, respectively.Maruti, Reliance Energy, Hindalco, Hero Honda and Larsen & Toubro have gained over 1% each.Ranbaxy has dropped 1.7% to Rs 406.Wipro has slipped 1% to Rs 518.The market breadth is slightly positive. Out of 2,199 stocks traded so far, 1,218 have advanced, 911 have declined and 70 are unchanged.Southern Petro has zoomed 18% to Rs 29.45. Reliance Natural Resources, Wartsila, NIIT, Tube Investment, Aban Loyd, Hindustan Zinc, Kotak Bank, Essel Propack and Hexaware have rallied 6-10% each.Venkys India has plunged 5.6% to Rs 131. KEC Infrastructure, Ind-Swift, Sakuma Exports, Ganesh Forgings, HCL Infosys and Ingersoll Rand are on slippery ground.
