The Sensex is now up 72 points at 12,796.Tata Steel has surged 2.2% to Rs 513. Wipro has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 560.Reliance Energy, Bharti Airtel and Reliance have gained 1.7% each to Rs 460, Rs 500 and Rs 1,261, respectively.Hindalco has added 1.3% to Rs 189. ACC, Gujarat Ambuja, BHEL and Ranbaxy are up around 1% each.Bajaj Auto has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,748. Out of 2,423 stocks traded so far, 1,505 have advanced, 834 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
