The Sensex is now up 80 points at 12,593.SBI has advanced over 2% to Rs 996. ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank are up nearly 1.5% each at Rs 648 and Rs 866, respectively.Hindalco has surged 1.8% to Rs 234, and Tata Steel has spurted over 1% to Rs 667.Bajaj Auto has added 1.7% to Rs 3,220. Dr.Reddy's, HLL and Larsen & Toubro are the other smart gainers.HDFC is the sole loser among the Sensex stocks.The market breadth is extremely positive. Out of 1,954 stocks traded so far, 1,488 have advanced, 425 have declined and 41 are unchanged.
