The Sensex is now up 81 points at 14,285.BHEL has surged over 3% to Rs 1,394. Maruti, Reliance Energy and Ranbaxy have rallied over 2% each to Rs 745, Rs 538 and Rs 378, respectively.Larsen & Toubro has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 1,958. SBI, Reliance Communications and Tata Motors have added 1.7% each to Rs 1,336, Rs 499 and Rs 653, respectively.HDFC Bank has moved up 1.4% to Rs 1,113, and ICICI Bank has gained 1.2% at Rs 916.NTPC has shed 1.8% to Rs 151. Satyam and TCS are have slipped 1% each to Rs 485 and Rs 1,193, respectively.Out of 2,441 stocks traded so far, 1,462 have advanced, 901 have declined and 78 are unchanged.
