The Sensex is now up 83 points at 12,597.ICICI Bank has zoomed over 4% to Rs 666. SBI has added 3% to Rs 1,004, and HDFC Bank has moved up 1% to Rs 864.ONGC has surged nearly 4% to Rs 1,495. Tata Power has gained 2.7% at Rs 581, and NTPC is up 1% to Rs 131.Larsen & Tourbo has added 1.8% at Rs 2,822. Hindalco has advanced 1.5% to Rs 233, and Tata Steel is up 1% at Rs 666.Cement stocks are witnessing selling pressure. Gujarat Ambuja has tumbled over 2% to Rs 118. ACC and Grasim are down nearly 2% each to Rs 982 and Rs 2,390, respectively. Out of 2,589 stocks traded so far, 1,778 have advanced, 761 have declined and the rest are unchanged.Reliance continues to top the value chart with a turnover of Rs 103.95 crore followed by Tata Steel (Rs 76.37 crore), SBI (Rs 73 crore), Reliance Capital (Rs 72.21 crore) and Larsen & Toubro (Rs 58.83 crore).Essar Shipping leads the volume chart with trades of around 1.31 crore shares followed by IFCI (1.25 crore), Mascon Global (66.73 lakh), Himachal Futuristic (42.35 lakh) and Reliance Natural Resources (41.58 lakh).
