Sensex up 90pts; Tata Steel up 3%

 Reliance, Bharti Airtel, BHEL and Hindalco have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,215, Rs 499, Rs 2,454 and Rs 190, respectively.

HDFC has advanced 1.4% to Rs 1,475. ACC, Ranbaxy, Reliance Communications and SBI are the other major gainers.

Bajaj Auto and HDFC Bank are the notable losers among the index stocks.

Out of 2,390 stocks traded so far, 1,521 have advanced, 792 have declined and 77 are unchanged.
