The Sensex zoomed to a new high of 7,871 in intra-day deals before closing at a new high of 7,859 - a gain of 91 points (1.18%).ONGC was firm right through the session, and closed with a gain of 5% (Rs 47) at Rs 1,004. Reliance advanced Rs 15 to Rs 715. ITC was up Rs 10 at Rs 1,710, and SBI also added Rs 10 to Rs 816.Infosys moved up 2.9% (Rs 65) to Rs 2,316. TCS was up 2% (Rs 29) at Rs 1,298. Satyam and Wipro also finished at higher levels today.Bajaj gained 3% (Rs 42) to Rs 1,452. Hindalco added Rs 17 to Rs 1,441. HDFC Bank was up Rs 10 at Rs 655. ACC, Grasim, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power and Maruti also finished with gains.BHEL dropped Rs 19 to Rs 1,102. Gujarat Ambuja, HDFC, Hero Honda, ICICI Bank and L&T also declined.
