The markets continue to exhibit weakness and is now down 16,925, down 74 points. The NSE Nifty is at 5,062, down 26 points.
DLF is the major gainer on the Sensex, has advanced 2.5% to Rs 306. Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance Communication have added 1.5% each at Rs 1,022 and Rs 163, reespectively.
Grasim Industries, HUL, Bharti Airtel and SBI have added 1% each on the BSE.
Infosys and Maruti have slipped 1.5% each to Rs 2,620 and Rs 1,458, respectively.
The other major losers are Hindalco, Hero Honda, TCS and Mahindra & Mahindra, down 1% each on the BSE.
The market breadth is positive, out of 2,629 shares traded, 1,501 have advanced and 1,032 have declined so far on the BSE.
Among the sectoral indices, realty index has advanced 2% at 3,385 and consumer durables has added 1.5%, respectively.
Mahindra LifeSpace, DLF and HDIL have advanced 2-3% each on the realty index.
Infosys, TCS and Wipro have declined 1% each on the IT index which is down 1% now.
