Shriram City Union Finance is trading higher by 3% at Rs 1,258 on the back of heavy volumes on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
About 1.65 million shares, representing 2.8% of total equity capital of Shriram City Union Finance, have changed hands at a price of Rs 1,251 per share in opening trades via block deal, the BSE data shows. However, the name of the buyers and sellers are not known.
The stock opened at Rs 1,251 and touched a record high of Rs 1,270 on the BSE thus far. The stock has rallied 13% in the past five trading sessions from Rs 1,126 on April 29.
Meanwhile, the consumer lender said that its board has approved the issue of about 6.6 million equity shares to Piramal Enterprises for cash on a preferential basis at a price of Rs 1,200 each, including a premium of Rs 1,190 a share, aggregating to Rs 789.58 crore. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex remained flat during the period.
