Silver futures prices today declined by Rs 313 to Rs 57,946 per kg, as speculators offloaded their positions, tracking a weak trend in the Asian region.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May fell by Rs 313, or 0.54%, to Rs 57,946 per kg in business turnover of 7,459 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in July moved down by Rs 297, or 0.50%, to Rs 59,436 per kg in 257 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators triggered by a weak in Asian region mainly pulled down silver prices at futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver lost 1.26% to $32.99 an ounce in Singapore.
