Silver prices fell by Rs 269 to Rs 39,423 per kg in futures trade today on fresh off-loading by speculators on the back of a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for March contract fell by Rs 269, or 0.68 per cent to Rs 39,423 per kg with a business turnover of one lot.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in December contract moved down by Rs 247, or 0.63 per cent to Rs 39,164 per kg in just one lot.
Traders said fresh off-loading by traders in tandem with a weak global trend mainly pulled down silver prices.
Meanwhile, silver traded lower by 0.38 per cent to $25.94 an ounce in the Asian region.
