The Silver futures today fell at the Multi Commodity Exchange. The March contract fell by Rs 1,153, or 1.97%, to Rs 57,498 per kg in 4,623 lots.
The May contract lost Rs 1,175, or 1.91%, to Rs 58,870 per kg in 218 lots.
Marketmen said speculators offloading their positions and the US Federal Reserve policy makers saying they will probably end asset purchases influenced the gold trade.
In Singapore, silver fell as much as 2.5% to $ 29.42 an ounce.
