New Delhi, Jan 22 (PTI) Silver futures prices declined by Rs 225 to Rs 27,459 per kg today on emergence of selling by traders influenced by a weakening global trend.
Silver for delivery in July fell by Rs 225, or 0.81 per cent, to Rs 27,459 per kg at the Multi Commodity Exchange with an open interest of 296 lots.
May Silver also eased by Rs 170, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 27,287 per kg with an open interest of 1,279 lots and the March contract dipped by Rs 153, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 15,012 lots.
According to market experts, selling by traders in line with a weakening global trend mainly led to fall in silver prices in futures trading.
Meanwhile, silver in New York shed 0.50 cent to $17.37 an ounce last evening.
