Silver futures price fell by 1.02 per cent on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) today, on emergence of selling by traders at existing high levels.
A weak trend in overseas market also led to the down trend. Silver for December contract fell by 1.02 per cent to Rs 22,300 per kg, with an open interest of 868 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in September contract fell by 0.96 per cent to Rs 22,180 per kg with an open interest of 10,553 lots.
Marketmen said emergence of selling at existing high levels amid weak global trend mainly pulled down the silver price at futures market here.
