Tracking a firming trend in the precious metals overseas, silver futures prices today moved up by 0.31% to Rs 50,100 per kg as speculators enlarged their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 145, or 0.31%, to Rs 50,100 per kg in business turnover of 20 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in December gained Rs 110, or 0.23%, to Rs 48,541 per kg in 840 lots.
Meanwhile, silver traded little changed at USD 21.89 an ounce in Singapore after slumping 3.7% yesterday.
