Silver prices rose Rs 223 to Rs 40,431 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions buoyed by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July traded Rs 223, or 0.51%, higher at Rs 40,431 per kg in business turnover of 145 lots.
Likewise, silver for delivery in the September traded higher by Rs 211, or 0.50%, to Rs 40,999 per kg in 618 lots.
Meanwhile, silver rose by 0.33% to $19.83 an ounce in Singapore.
