Silver moved up by 0.54% to Rs 51,303 per kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, March silver rose by Rs 274, or 0.54% to Rs 51,303 per kg, with a business turnover of 2,520 lots.
The May contract traded higher by Rs 283, or 0.54%, to Rs 52,427 per kg, with a trade volume of 71 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators at prevailing levels, helped silver to trade higher at futures trade but absence of global cues as most of the markets are closed today, limited the gains.
