Silver prices gained Rs 37, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 28,976 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators enlarged their positions on hopes of pick up in demand amid firming global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange counter, silver for September-month gained Rs 37, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 28,976 per kg, with an open interest of 21,721 lots.
