Tracking a firming global trend, silver prices moved up by Rs 361 to Rs 57,532 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September rose by Rs 361, or 0.63%, to Rs 57,532 per kg, with an open interest of a single lot.
The May contract gained Rs 331, or 0.59%, to Rs 56,215, with a business volume of four lots.
Analysts said besides a firming trend in the overseas market, pick-up in demand in the spot market mainly pushed up silver futures prices.
Meanwhile, silver traded 0.63% higher at $38.07 an ounce in Asia.
