Silver prices weakened by Rs 34 or 0.12 per cent to Rs 29,185 per kg in futures market today due to reduced offtake at existing higher levels.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for September contract declined by Rs 34, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 29,185 per kg, with an open interest of 1,477 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery July contract shed Rs 27 or 0.09 per cent to Rs 29,090 per kg, with an open interest of 10,397 lots.
Marketmen said fall in demand at existing higher levels led to a fall in silver prices at futures trade.
