The stocks of companies engaged in the the production of alkalies have soared in the last three months from August to November on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
The share price of Aegis Logistics rose from Rs 18 on August 2, to today's close of Rs 45.90, up 155 per cent on the BSE.
 
During the same period the stock price of Alkyl Amines Chemicals increased from Rs 26 to Rs 32.75, up by 25.96 per cent.
 
Aroni Chemical Industries rose from Rs 9.90 to Rs 41.70. Bihar Caustic and Chemicals gained from Rs 23.95 to Rs 48.75, up 103.54 per cent.
 
GHCL Ltd ended flat at Rs 22.55 to Rs 22.40. Schenectady Herdillia rose from Rs 28.47 to Rs 42.10 up 47.87 and Tata Chemicals from Rs 119.25 to Rs 128.80 up 8 per cent.
 
Thirumalai Chemicals gained from Rs 65.15 to Rs 123.40 up 89.40 and Gujarat Alkalies from Rs 41.35 to Rs 96.30 up over 57 per cent.
 
Hindustan Organic firmed up from Rs 15.53 to Rs 17.95, IG Petro from Rs 5.99 to today's close of Rs 13.71, up 128.88 per cent, while Glycols moved from Rs 95.15 to Rs 137.25, up by 44.24 per cent.
 
Mysore Petro Chem gained from Rs 5 to Rs 8.84 up 76.8 per cent and Sree Rayalaseema Alkalies from Rs 5.05 to Rs 11.60, up 129.70 per cent.
 
Tuticorin Alkali more jumped from Rs 4.23 to Rs 9.96 while Universal Starch Chemical Allies moved from Rs 14 to Rs 16 and Jubilant Organosys from Rs 632.45 to Rs 836.10.
 
IFB Agro Industries soared from Rs 12 to Rs 16.45, Kanoria Chemicals from Rs 60.20 to Rs 79.90 and Punjab Alkalies from Rs 8.94 to Rs 25.80.
 
United Phosphorous rose from Rs 627.95 to Rs 684.80 and Syngenta India from Rs 220.45 to Rs 452.65.
