The Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA) will send a trade delegation to promote export of oilmeals to China, which is shifting from being an oil exporting country to oilseeds importing country. |
The 13-member delegation will be led by D P Khandelia, president of SEA. It will visit Beijing, Harbin, Shanghai, Nantong and Guangzhou between April 16 and 25. |

It will study how China's vegetable oil sector improved capacity utilisation. The delegation would seek to exchange of market and technical information with Chinese oilseed crushers and processors, vegetable oil refiners, importers of oilseeds and oils and traders. |

It will study the Chinese vegetable oil and oilseed complex in terms of technology and efficiency of crushing, solvent extraction and refining. Co-operation with Chinese oilseeds and vegetable oil organisations including China National Vegetable Oil Association will be explored. |

The delegation will seek to promote export of oilmeals, groundnut oil and other agri-products from India, through joint ventures and technology transfers besides fairs and seminars on vegetable oil and oilseeds. |

The team would include eminent industry members like Govindlal.Patel, deputy leader of the delegation, Ajay Tandon, Bipin V Patel, Vijay Datta, Anil Modi, Anil.Kapoor, Jayesh C.Patel, Pradip Desai, Gauri Shanker Khandelia, Dr Vivek S Vadke and B V Mehta, executive director of SEA. |
