Soyabean futures up on fresh buying

Soyabean prices rose by Rs 7.50, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 2,073 per quintal in futures trade today on fresh buying by traders.

Marketmen said restricted supply and better off-take in physical markets on the back of firm overseas advices, influenced the trading sentiment in futures market.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, soyabean prices for the delivery of August-month went up by Rs 7.50, or 0.36 per cent, to Rs 2,073 per quintal, with an open interest of 67,620 lots. 

Most-active September contract inched up by Rs 6, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 2,092 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,18,310 lots. 

December contract too followed suit and gained by Rs 6.50, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 2,106 per quintal, with an open interest of 6,950 lots.
