Srikalahasthi Pipes is trading higher by 7% to Rs 270 on the BSE after the company said it has received orders worth Rs 1,053 crore during December 2015 for supply of ductile iron pipes.
“Out of this Rs 1,053 crore, Rs 891 crore orders are for Telangana Drinking Water Supply Project (popularly known as “Telangana Water Grid”),” Srikalahasthi Pipes said in a statement.
These orders are mainly from major infrastructure companies which includes Larsen & Toubro (L&T), NCC, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures, Indian Hume Pipes, KLSR Infratech amongst others, it added.
The stock has hit a high of Rs 275 on the BSE with a combined 210,125 shares changed hands on the counter on the BSE and NSE till 10:56 a.m.
