Sugar prices declined at the Vashi wholesale market here today owing to subdued demand from stockists and retailers coupled with good stock positions.
Small sugar quality (S-30) dipped by Rs 20/21 per quintal to Rs 2,830/2,871 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 2,851/ 2,891.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) also fell by Rs 10/20 per quintal to Rs 2,876/2,931 as against Rs 2,886/2,951 yesterday.
The following are today's closing rates per quintal, with the previous rates in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,830/2,871 (Rs 2,851/ 2,891) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,876/2,931 (Rs 2,886/2,951)
