Sugar prices declined moderately at the Vashi Wholesale market here today on reduced offtake from stockists and bulk consumers amid adequate stock position.
Small sugar quality (S-30) dropped by Rs 9-20 per quintal to Rs 2,841-2,902 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 2,861-2,911.
Medium sugar quality (M-30) also fell by Rs 9-10 per quintal to Rs 2,891-2,971, as compared with Rs 2,900-2,981 last weekend.
The following are today's closing rates per quintal, with the previous rates in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality Rs 2,841-2,902 (Rs 2,861- 2,911) and medium sugar (M-30) quality Rs 2,891-2,971 (Rs 2,900-2,981)
