Sugar millgate prices softened by Rs 20 per quintal today following ample supply from mills, amid reduced offtake.
Market analysts said fall in demand from retailers and bulk consumers due to adversed weather conditions against increased arrivals pulled down the prices.
In millgate section, sugar Dorala and Budhana traded lower by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,970 and Rs 2,930 per quintal, respectively.
Sugar kinnoni and asmoli also slipped by Rs 10 each to Rs 3,010 and Rs 3,000 per quintal.

Sugar ready M-30 3,150-3,275 and S-30 3,125-3,250
Mill delivery M-30 2,900-3,075 and S-30 2,890-3,065
Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 3,010, Asmoli 3,000, Mawana 2,975, Titabi 2,970, Thanabhavan 2,940, Budhana 2930 and Dorala 2,970
