Sugar millgate price up on better offtake

Sugar millgate prices rose by Rs 20 per quintal in the national capital today following restricted supply amid better offtake.

Marketmen said pick up in demand from stockist and bulk consumers due to beginning of new month against restricted supply, mainly pushed up sugar millgate prices.

In millgate section, sugar dorala and Titabi went up by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,650 and Rs 2,665 per quintal.

Mawana and Budhana also gained by Rs 20 each to Rs 2,670 and Rs 2,640 per quintal.

Following are today's rates in Rs per quintal:

Sugar ready M-30 2,760-2,885 and S-30 2,750-2,875.
