Sugar millgate prices up on better offtake

Sugar millgate prices rose by Rs 15 per quintal in the national capital today on higher millers' advices amid increased offtake. 

However, sugar spot prices maintained overnight closing levels on small buying support.

Market analysts said increased offtake by stockist against restricted supply from mills largely pushed up sugar mill gate prices.

In millgate section, sugar thanabhavan and budhana prices rose by Rs 15 each to Rs 2,745 and Rs 2,735 per quintal, respectively.

Sugar mawana and dorala also moved up by Rs 10 each to Rs 2,840 and Rs 2,825 per quintal, respectively.

Following were today's quotation in Rs per quintal. 

Sugar ready M-30 2,925-3,075 and S-30 2,900-3,025
Mill delivery M-30 2,765-2,965 and S-30 2,740-2,940

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,930, Asmoli 2,915, Mawana 2,840, Titabi 2,850, Thanabhavan 2,745, Budhana 2735 and Dorala 2,825
