Suzlon Energy is trading higher by 3% at Rs 26.80, extending its two day 15% rally, after the company said its Germany-based Group-subsidiary REpower Systems SE has bagged cumulative wind turbine orders of 151 MW across Europe and North America over a three month period, excluding orders announced separately.
The company also announced that, its Group subsidiary Seforge Ltd had bagged an order for Rs 600 crore from a global bearings manufacturer for supply of forged and machined rings used in various types of bearings, including slow bearing rings, over a period of five years.
Last week, the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Andhra Pradesh government for setting up of capacities to generate about 3,000 mw of wind power till 2016. The proposal entails an investment of about Rs 18,000 crore.
A combined 8.65 million shares have changed hands on the counter so far on the NSE and BSE.
