The stocks of companies engaged in the food, confectionery and chocolates business have managed to stay afloat in the last three months from September to December on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
 
Share price of Britannia Ind rose from Rs 669.50 on September 1, to today's close of Rs 805.70, up 20.34 per cent on the BSE.
 
During the same period, the stock price of DFM Foods increased from Rs 6.78 to Rs 10.33, up by roughly 52.35 per cent.
 
Modern Dairies gained from Rs 5.64 to Rs 7.35, up 30.31 per cent.
 
Share price of Ritesh Industries gained from Rs 1.61 to Rs 1.91, Vadilal Enterprises from Rs 25.50 to Rs 34 and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer rose from Rs 243.70 to Rs 316.39.
 
JK Dairy & Foods rose from Rs 3.15 to Rs 3.53.
 
However, Lotus Chocolate Co decreased from Rs 4.95 to Rs 4.26.
