Tata Motors is trading higher by 3% at Rs 242 after reporting 21% year-on-year growth in its global sales at 101,605 units in July. Highest in past four months. The company had sold 85,392 units in the same month of previous year.
“Sales of luxury brands from Jaguar Land Rover were at 26,921 units in July, up 41% from the same month last year. While sales of luxury sedans of Jaguar brand stood last month at 4,064 units, Land Rover sales were at 22,857 units,” Tata Motors said in press release.
The stock opened at Rs 237 and hit a high of Rs 243 on the BSE. A combined 2.51 million shares have changed hands on the counter in morning deals on both the exchanges.
