Monday's mixed performance continued into Tuesday, as only six ADRs closed in the green, while the others ended negatively, except for Satyam Computer Services, which remained unchanged.
Wipro was the highest gainer up by 1% at $15.41, followed by Sterlite Industries at 15.89 and HDFC Bank at $166.13, both up a little less than 1%.
Tata Communications at $10.97 and Dr Reddy's Laboratories at $36.92 were the only other ADRs to end positively, albeit marginally.
Satyam Computer Services remained static at $$2.92.
Tata Motors was the highest loser for the second straight day, and it slipped further on Tuesday to $28.59 down nearly 3%.
MTNL lost 2% at $2.32, while Patni Computer Systems slipped almost 2% at 21, after Monday's gain of 1%, following news that the company has given only a tentative go-ahead for its acquisition by Nasdaq-listed iGate, subject to certain conditions.
ICICI Bank fell 1% at $48.78. Genpact, Monday's highest gainer, closed marginally in the negative at $15.41, and Infosys Technologies ended flat at $75.01.
