TCS, Infosys lead market recovery, Satyam tanks again

The Sensex opened 153 points lower at 9,434, and soon dipped to a low of 9,352. The index, however, soon recovered and rebounded into the positive zone. The Sensex is now down 30 points at 9,557.

TCS has soared 5.5% to Rs 531, and Infosys has surged 4.7% to Rs 1,242.

Jaiprakash Associates has rallied 5% to Rs 75. HDFC has gained 4% at Rs 1,693.

ICICI Bank has advanced 2.5% to Rs 479. HDFC Bank and Reliance Infrastructure have added 2.3% each to Rs 1,034 and Rs 572, respectively.

Satyam has slumped for the second straight day following Raju's disclousure. The stock tanked to a low of Rs 11.50, and is now down 54% at Rs 19. The counter has seen trades of over two crore shares so far on the BSE.

Larsen & Toubro has shed 4.7% at Rs 739. Tata Motors has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 168.

Bharti Airtel and Sterlite have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 633 and Rs 295, respectively.

DLF has declined 2% to Rs 230. Ranbaxy is down nearly 2% to Rs 231.
