Titagarh Wagons gains on winning contract from Kolkata Metro

The company said it has bagged a contract for rehabilitation of 56 coaches (7 rakes) from the Kolkata Metro Railway.

Titagarh Wagons is trading higher by 2% at Rs 288 after the company said it has bagged a contract for rehabilitation of 56 coaches (7 rakes) from the Kolkata Metro Railway.

The scope of the job would involve midlife special repair and rehabilitation of the rakes. The company however, has not disclosed the amount of the contract.

Titagarh is already into manufacturing of passenger coaches by way of Electrical Multiple Units (EMU) and are currently executing an order for 23 rakes of AC EMU/MEMU which was received from the Railways, the company said in a statement.

The stock opened at Rs 289 and hit a high of Rs 293 on the NSE. A combined 17,000 shares changed hands on the counter in early morning deals on NSE and BSE.
