Turmeric, jeera rise on buying support

In limited deals, turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today on fresh buying support from retailers and stockists amid low stocks position.

Encouraging advices from growing regions also supported the rise in prices. Turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 16,500- 20,000 per quintal. 

Jeera common and jeera best quality also went up by Rs 100 to conclude at Rs 14,200-14,500 and Rs 15,200-15,800 per quintal.

Traders said fresh buying by stockists and rising spot demand mainly pushed up turmeric prices on the wholesale market here.
