Turmeric and jeera prices rose up to Rs 300 per quintal in the national capital today on fresh buying by stockists as well as exporters.

Restricted arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on the prices.

Turmeric prices rose up to Rs 300 to conclude at Rs 8,500-14,500 per quintal.

Jeera common and jeera best quality also rose further by Rs 200 to finish at Rs 14,700-14,900 and Rs 19,900-17,000 per quintal respectively.

Traders said buying support from stockists as well as exporters against restricted arrivals from producing region mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
