Turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal each in the national capital today on increased buying by stockists as well as exporters.
Turmeric prices were up by Rs 100 to settle at Rs 15,700-18,300 per quintal.
Jeera common and jeera best quality also traded higher at Rs 12,500-12,700 and Rs 13,800-14,200 against previous closing of Rs 12,400-13,600 and Rs 13,700-14,100 per quintal, respectively.
Traders said sentiments turned better, following rising domestic and export demand and a firm trend at futures market, pushing up turmeric and jeera prices.
