Price of raw turmeric in Erode is Rs 23-24 per kg, which is Rs 6-8 lower than last year's price. In Nizamabad, the price is a little lower than Erode at Rs 22-23 per kg. Polished finger price is between Rs 24- 28 per kg across country. |

At the Sangli market, price of turmeric ranges from Rs 23 to Rs 40 per kg. Salem turmeric, considered the premium quality in the country, is quoting Rs 40 a kg at the Sangli market. |

"The Dugirala turmeric market has not opened because of the delayed harvest. The crop will hit the market in the beginning of April. We are expecting a good harvest from there as well," Kirandip Singh Swani, chairman, Indian Spice and Foodstuff Exporters Association, said. |
