TV Today Network is locked in upper circuit of 20% at Rs 65.50 on BSE, with no sellers on the counter, after reporting a standalone net profit of Rs 11.98 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013 (Q1), on back of strong operating performance.
The broadcasting and cable TV operator had posted a loss of Rs 35.07 lakh during the same period of the previous fiscal.
Net sales rose 25.9% to Rs 88.84 crore in the April-June quarter from Rs 70.57 crore a year earlier, while total expenses remain unchanged at around Rs 71.27 crore, TV Today Network said in a filing.
The stock opened at Rs 62.75 and has seen a combined 92,716 shares changing hands till 0945 hours. There are pending buy orders for 293,852 shares on BSE and NSE.
