Shares of UltraTech Cement and Century Textiles were trading higher by 5% each on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). At 1515 hours, UltraTech Cement was trading at Rs 2,943, while Century Textiles and Industries was at Rs 639 on the NSE.

Meanwhile, with respect to news flashed on ET Now on March 23, 2015 titled "To mull hiving off cement operations, board to consider proposal of restructuring of cement operations, Bankers suggest selling of cement operations to Ultratech Cement post demerger", the company had clarified to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) that the news flashed on the 'ET Now' is not true and should be ignored.
