The Sensex continues to move higher, and is now up 302 points at 9,269.
The BSE Metal and the Oil & Gas indices has surged over 4% each to 5,477 and 6,627, respectively.
Ranbaxy has zoomed over 8% to Rs 157 following the news that company's Paonta Sahib plant has received nod from UK Health agency.
Tata Steel has soared 7.7% to Rs 190. Sterlite has surged 6.5% to Rs 336.
Tata Power and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied 5.5% each to Rs 702 and Rs 509, respectively.
Reliance and HDFC have moved up nearly 5% each to Rs 1,404 and Rs 1,477, respectively.
Bharti Airtel, Jaiprakash Associates and ICICI Bank have gained around 4% each at Rs 593, Rs 83 and Rs 336, respectively.

ONGC and Tata Motors have advanced 3.8% each to Rs 783 and Rs 167, respectively.
Reliance Communications, SBI, NTPC and HDFC Bank have added 3.5% each to Rs 164, Rs 987, Rs 184 and Rs 866, respectively.
Grasim and and Hindalco are up around 3% each at Rs 1,512 and Rs 49, respectively.
DLF, however, has plunged over 3% to Rs 165.
The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,233 stocks traded, 1,418 have advanced, 717 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
