Urad, arhar rise on stockists buying

Prices of urad and arhar rose up to Rs 100 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on emergence of stockists buying following pick up in retailers demand.

Restricted arrivals from producing regions also supported the uptrend.

In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,000-5,550 and Rs 6,500-6,900 while dhoya traded higher by the same margin at Rs 6,900-7,000 per quintal.

Arhar and its dal dara gained Rs 50 each to Rs 4,800- 4,900 and at Rs 5,750-6,150 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 5,000-5,550, Urad chilka (local) 6,500-6,900, best 6,700-7,000, Dhoya 6,900-7,000, Moong Maharashtra 6,650-6,950, Dal moong chilka local 7,600-8,000, Moong Dhoya local 7,700-7,900 and best quality 8,200-8,400.

Masoor small 3,400-3,600, bold 3,600-3,850, Dal Masoor local 4,100-4,200, best quality 4,400-4,700, Malka local 4,200-4,250, best 4,350-4,450, Moth 5,900-6,200, Arhar 4,800-4,900, dal arhar dara 5,750-6,150.

Gram 2,100-2,175, gram dal (local) 2,350-2,375, best quality 2,550-2,650, besan (35 kg) Shakti bhog 1,050, Rajdhani 1,050, Rajmah chitra Pune 3,400-4,000, China 3,500-4,000, red 3,500-3,600, kabli gram small 3,100-4,300, dabra 2,700-2,800, imported 4,500-4,900, lobia 3,700-3,800, peas white 1,600-1,700 and green 1,800-2,000.
