Urad dal falls by Rs 500 per qunital

The prices of urad dal and wheat moved down while that of other commodities remained unchanged during the week under review in the wholesale foodgrains market here.

After opening on Monday at the previous week close of Rs 6,500 per quintal, urad dal fell by Rs 400 the next day.

It ended the week at Rs 6,000, a net loss of Rs 500.

Wheat eased by Rs 50 to close at Rs 1,900 per quintal against the previous week close of Rs 1,950. 

Thoor dal (Rs 6,000), moong dal (Rs 6,500), gram dal (Rs 3,050), sugar (Rs 3,050), maida (Rs 1,950) and sooji (Rs 1,950) were taken at their previous week closing rates.
