Urad, its dal marginally up on scattered demand

Urad and its dal prices rose up to Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on scattered demand from retailers.

Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.   

Traders said some demand from retailers helped urad and its prices to trade at higher levels. 

In the national capital, urad gained Rs 20 to Rs 3,920-4,420, while its dal chilka local up by Rs 50 to Rs 4,850-5,250 per quintal.
