Urad, its dal move up on increased demand

In limited deals, urad and its dal prices moved up by Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on increased demand against restricted arrivals due to heavy rains.

Marketmen said increased demand against restricted arrivals from the producing regions due to heavy rains, mainly pushed up wholesale urad and its dal prices.

Urad and its dal chilka local rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,800-6,350 and Rs 6,200-6,600, while best quality and dhoya traded higher by the same margin at Rs 7,000-7,300 and Rs 7,100-7,200 per quintal.

Urad 5,800-6,350, Urad chilka (local) 6,200-6,600, best 7,000-7,300, Dhoya 7,100-7,200, Moong 4,800-5,200, Dal moong chilka local 5,700-6,100, Moong Dhoya local 6,200-6,400 and best quality 6,600-6,800

Masoor small 3,400-3,600, bold 3,600-3,850, Dal Masoor local 4,000-4,100, best quality 4,300-4,600, Malka local 3,900-3,950, best 4,050-4,150, Moth 5,000-5,300, Arhar 3,800-3,900, dal arhar dara 4,800-5,200
