Urad, its dal remain weak in thin trade

In restricted activity, urad and its dal prices fell up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on adequate stocks due to increased arrivals from producing regions.

Marketmen said adequate stocks position, following increased arrivals from producing belts against subdued demand, mainly led to a fall in wholesale urad and its dal prices.

Urad remained under pressure and lost Rs 200 to Rs 4,200-4,750 per quintal.

Its dal chilka local best and dhoya were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,000-5400, Rs 5,600-5,900 and Rs 5,700-5,800 per quintal, respectively.
