Urad, its dal rise on pick up in demand

Urad and its dal prices continued to rise up to Rs 200 per quintal in the wholesale pulses market today on rising demand. However, other commodities prices remained flat on limited deals.

Traders said rising demand, against restricted arrivals pushed up wholesale urad and its dal prices. 

Urad strengthened further by Rs 200 to Rs 5,400-5,950, while urad dal chilka (local)and dhoya gained Rs 100 and Rs 50 to Rs 5,900-6,300 and Rs 6,800-6,900 per quintal.

Urad 5,400-5,950, Urad chilka (local) 5,900-6,300, best 6,700-7,000, Dhoya 6,800-6,900, Moong 5,300-5,700, Dal moong chilka local 6,200-6,600, Moong Dhoya local 6,400-6,600 and best quality 6,800-7,000

Masoor small 3,300-3,500, bold 3,500-3,750, Dal Masoor local 4,000-4,100, best quality 4,300-4,600, Malka local 4,000-4,050, best 4,150-4,250, Moth 5,250-5,550, Arhar 4,000-4,100, dal arhar dara 5,000-5,400
