Urad, masoor fall on sluggish demand

Prices of urad and masoor fell up to Rs 200 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market in the national capital today on fall in demand at prevailing levels against adequate stocks position.

Traders said subdued demand at existing higher levels against adequate stocks position mainly pulled down urad and masoor prices.

Urad lost Rs 50 to Rs 5,050-5,600, while its dal chilka local, best and dhoya were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 5700-6100, Rs 6,600-6,900 and Rs 6,650-6,750 per quintal.

Masoor small and bold also traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,100-3,300 and Rs 3,300-3,550 and its dal local and best quality declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,800-3,900 and Rs 4,100-4,400 per quintal.
